Help me give my students a wordless graphic novel to study imagery, inferencing together as a group regardless of academic level.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is a Title I school, and 100% of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Many of the students have parents who need to work multiple jobs to make ends meet since the Bay Area is such an expensive place to live. Even given all the hurdles they face, these kids come to school prepared and excited to learn. Many of these students face hardships day in and day out that could affect their learning and drive, yet they show up with smiles on their faces and greet me at my door every day waiting to learn.
The students I teach are the epitome of resilience and motivation.
I see light bulbs go off daily in the heads of these brilliant young scholars. I know they all will go great places in life and will go even further with all of your help!
My Project
A lot of my students are apprehensive readers. Having a class set of graphic novels to teach narrative skills like inferencing, sensory details and imagery will help them feel more comfortable with novel and hopefully help them engage with the topics more.
Many students today prefer to read graphic novels, especially readers who may be struggling.
I will use these novels to be able to teach the same novel to all students in the same class across many different reading levels, making the lessons more inclusive. These graphic novels will be able to give my struggling students more confidence in their reading and their abilities!
