My Project

My third graders are full of life and ready to learn every day. One of my favorite questions to answer is, "Can I take this book home to read?"

My favorite part of being an educator is building lifelong readers!

To help my students learn amid the pandemic, I could use graphic novels that are on reading levels that are appropriate for my students.

Graphic novels engage readers and encourage them to try something different.

Many students build their love of reading starting with graphic novels and then learn to love all types of books! The books in this project will reach a variety of readers.

Many of my students did not have books readily available during COVID-19 and need encouragement to boost their reading abilities. Graphic novels are a great way to reach struggling and reluctant readers. The ones I have fly off the shelves! Having books that the students enjoy reading is key to growing them into lifelong readers!
