This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is full of books but some students have gravitated to graphic novels and are willing to read more if they have one in their hands. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. These books have been chosen with my students in mind-I have watched them the past few weeks of school read titles just like these, and I have also asked them what type of books they would enjoy reading. Students are more willing to read books that are choose by them and will hopefully aspire to become longtime readers.
They will also be able to choose books that interest them.
The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading.
