My students need 4 Wacom writing tablets for use with a computer.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Nagler's classroom raised $555

How can we bridge the gap between high school graphic design and college or beyond? One way is to give students the opportunity to work with professional level tools, such as design tablets.
I teach graphic design in a high-needs school, and I am currently working with high school juniors who are majoring in art. The students in our school take art every year from the time they enter as freshman until they graduate. They are inspired by what is around them, motivated to create personalized and stimulating work, and driven to succeed!
Unfortunately, our school has very limited resources and supplies for students to take their work to the next level. Using professional tablets for graphic design is currently beyond the reach of our students in this high-needs school. My students really need to be able to access areas of art beyond the classroom such as college, internships, jobs, galleries, exhibitions, etc. In order to do this, every student needs to leave high school with experience using professional tools and software. With these tablets they can create outstanding work just like professionals in the field.
The tablets that we need are simple but substantial in what they can help our students achieve. With these materials and focused learning, our students will be competitive in the art world and be ready to reach beyond the classroom. They will be empowered to seek out art opportunities and feel confident that they have the tools to succeed. They will be able to approach interviews with self-assurance and the comfort of knowing they have the same advantages as their peers. Using a professional tablet for graphic design, students will be able to make more advanced and sophisticated work. These tablets make your computer your canvas, allowing you to freely express yourself by simply touching the pen tip to the tablet. Touch up digital photos, draw by hand, create artwork and paintings, and even write in your own handwriting.
Thank you so much for taking the time to help ensure that these students maintain their work in a professional way. Thank you for helping link these students to the many possibilities and opportunities in the world of art. And most of all, thank you for caring about students who can really use your help to make a difference in their lives!
