Help me give my students thirty-five new high-interest graphic novels to read!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Colvig's classroom raised $570
This project is fully funded
My Students
My students are readers! They love to read independently during class, and they really enjoy having the opportunity to pick books of their choice from our growing classroom library. Additionally, many of my students are visual or English as a second language learners. As a result, my students have been asking for more graphic novels.
I would love to be able to support my students' love for reading by providing them with texts that will interest and engage them like graphic novels.
My Project
Having a classroom library with a large and wide variety of books to peak my students' interests helps them become life-long readers. I greatly enjoy seeing my students recommend books they have read from our classroom library to each other, and graphic novels are one of the most popular book genres that my students love to read!
Graphic novels are an enviable resource to my students and their access to literacy.
The use of images and illustrations in graphic novels pulls in even the most reluctant readers, and graphic novels are also beneficial to English as a second language students by providing them with visual aids to support their comprehension while reading.
Please help me in providing my students with a diverse collection of graphic novels for our classroom library! Thank you so much for your generosity!
