My Project
My 6th-grade scientists are incredibly curious and eager to learn about the world around them. We have investigated our way through units on heat and light, and are currently learning about space. Our next unit will be about plate tectonics, and the book "Grand Canyon" by Jason Chin is an amazing resource to use with my students. The book is colorful, has a good storyline, and includes numerous details and facts that allow students to interact with the content in a fun way. I hope to get these books to supplement our learning and bring in additional practice of reading for my students!
