Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a bright, diverse group of 1st through 5th grade English learners and striving readers who bring determination, creativity, and heart to our classroom every day. They come from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and are working hard to build the foundational reading and language skills that will empower them to thrive in and beyond the classroom.
My students need flexible, engaging tools that help me meet their diverse needs.
A mobile student desk will give students who need space, quiet, or movement a comfortable place to work and focus—especially important for learners who are easily distracted or need accommodations. A TPT gift card will allow me to access culturally relevant, skill-specific resources designed by educators to meet the diverse needs of my students that have a wide span of ages and levels. Finally, colorful grammar posters will serve as constant visual supports, reinforcing key concepts and encouraging independence. With these tools, I can better personalize instruction and create a learning environment that is as dynamic and resilient as my students.
