This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Fourth-grader (Noun) \fȯrth grā-dər\ - Someone who is a mathematician, reader, writer, artist, scientist, dancer, leader, explorer, and friend. Someone who needs access to technology, high-quality books and an inclusive place to learn.
My fourth graders are curious and they try hard--really hard.
They love to read, write, explore, and find answers to questions. Did you know that they are also bilingual, bicultural, and bi-literate? They speak, read, and write in two languages, English and Spanish. That also means that during the school day, they learn in both languages.
My Project
This project aims to give EVERY student in my classroom access to highly engaging grade level text - La tumba misteriosa (The Mysterious Tomb). We, as a classroom community, will engage in reading, listening and having deep conversations. The book on this project will set the foundation for our reading for the year.
