This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Previously a 5th grade general education teacher l, I am being moved to a 3rd grade DualLanguage Classroom. Students will learn half of the day in English and the other half in Spanish. I want to have a welcoming environment for all students to build a sense of belonging as well as open communication. Having Spanish and English items on my wall will help students communicate with each other and help non-native English speakers communicate what they have learned and voice questions they may have. This materials will lend themself to a great first year of teaching Dual Language!
