Bright colored murals, beautiful garb, fresh fruits, and vegetables at the corner market and the smell of delicious Indian food coming from the nearby kitchen. This is the environment my students live in. We have a beautiful neighborhood that embodies the Indian culture. Unfortunately, my school is in a low-income neighborhood. Many of my students, a diverse mix of cultures too, attend a school that strives to give these eager students who are ready to learn an excellent education. Many of them are first-generation Americans and are excited to begin school!
My Project
How easy would it be for my students to grab the materials they need for centers and go? These carts would be a dream in our classroom. A perfect place to keep our ELA and math centers organized and readily available. No more searching through folders or baskets. No more time wasted and papers unorganized. I would love to have each draw labeled by skill so they can easily see what they need so they can begin their work immediately! My classroom is a bit tight with 32 students so these carts would also eliminate the clutter of bins. Something so simple as a cart can make our days run smooth which of course means success!
