Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with students that need many different opportunities to read, write words and sentences to keep them engaged in the process of learning to read and write. Many of the students in the lowest income area in Mesa, AZ do not have special devices to help them stay engaged in reading lessons.
Boogie boards writing tables have been used in several local schools with success.
They would add a special tool to reading lessons. A donation of these boards and replacement pens would add sparks of interest to our reading intervention lessons.
