My Project

A new bass clarinet for our junior high band program is an urgent and essential need. Our current instrument has unexpectedly broken, leaving our students scrambling to find a solution. Right now, students are attempting to share instruments, but this simply isn’t a workable system. A bass clarinet isn’t an instrument that can be quickly passed from one student to another, as the back and forth, home practice time, etc, doesn't work well to juggle between two students. Our bass clarinet players are struggling to participate fully in rehearsals and performances.

This bass clarinet will immediately go into the hands of hardworking, talented students who are eager to make music.

We have an incredible group of kids who love band and want to play, but without this instrument, they’re stuck on the sidelines. These students come from a variety of backgrounds, including many who are low-income or English Language Learners, and our school-owned instruments make it possible for them to be part of the band. Having a functioning bass clarinet ensures that every student has the opportunity to contribute, learn, and grow as musicians.

Our band program is growing, and the need for quality instruments grows with it. A new bass clarinet won’t just help one student—it will benefit many students for years to come. It will bring depth to our ensemble’s sound, provide an essential low voice for balance, and ensure that our students can perform to the best of their ability. We’re doing everything we can to provide the best experience for our kids, and this instrument is a key part of making that happen. With your help, we can keep music alive for these incredible students!
