This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Got Nook? What's that? Exactly! The students in my class don't have access to the latest technological devices. We need your help!

The students in my California classroom have low socioeconomic status, yet have a yearning desire and interest in education.

They come to school motivated to learn and wanting so much more, but have limited access to technological devices and content.

My Project

Having two Nook tablets in the classroom, easily accessible, and easily manageable, will allow the students to read, research online, and be more technologically advanced. Having a camera to use in the classroom will allow the class as a whole to have a more print rich environment with real-life pictures of the family that lives in my classroom - my students!

My students have the eagerness and motivation to learn, but they have limited access to technological devices.

Having two Nooks in the classroom will enable them to have access to more books, it will take up less space in the classroom, and they will have fun using them. Having a camera to use for projects and research will enable the students to bring out their shy side and say CHEESE!
