My Project
Teaching fifth graders great literature is starting with a great series of books. Engagement and project learning allows students to think on their own and infer while reading. The books How to Eat Fried Worms and My Side of the Mountain allow students to explore two different types of genre.
Reading is the foundation to all learning in a child's life.
All students need a solid foundation in reading. A complete set of books allows a student to touch and flip pages to get to the next page. No phones, no IPADS, but true reading with an actually book. Learning to enjoy a book in a comfortable setting and quiet solitude allows a person to explore their imagination.
