My class is made up of a wonderful group of students who come to school with bright smiles and positive attitudes. Since few attended preschool before coming to my class, we have a lot of ground to cover. Most of my students are learning English as a second language, making their first year in school a little more challenging. All of my students qualify for free breakfast and lunch and Second Harvest Food Bank comes to our school each month to bring healthy fruits and vegetables to them.
My Project
This rectangular table will give give my students a space to work and collaborate. Currently, we have desks. While there is nothing wrong with desks, they are bulky. It is hard for a group of students to work collaboratively on something because of the physical distance between them.
This rectangular desk will easily seat six students giving them space to work independently and in a small group.
The finish of this table is smooth so the table can be written on with a dry erase marker. I envision students sitting around the table playing educational games, figuring out math problems and more!. Since they will be close to each other, the volume of the classroom will be lower so others can get their work done too. Some students like to sit on the floor but others have a hard time sitting on the floor and would do much better with a table just like this one.
Please help me purchase this table for my students. My students would love to continue learning and working with their new table! Will you help us?
