Gopro MEDIA Kits to Empower the Youth

My Project

I teach ELA and TV production courses but have limited equipment. I also do a variety of after school programs and activities utililizing media. Many of my students are also unable to use their cell phones for projects for a variety of reasons. Having this equipment would provided more students with access to use and learn the skill of equipment such as cameras, microphones tripods and help them tell their stories.

Having this equipment will help us build our tv studio, and conduct more interviews outside of the classroom.

We've been working on creating multicamera productions and this can help us be able to even stream live using multiple cameras, which would be AMAZING!

My students are special... I work at an alternative school. Many are new to the country or have had challenges in the educational career, placing them behind on credits and working hard to catch. All the students have an appreciation for media, social media and content, and having access to this equipment will make them feel trusted and give them something to look forward to at school.

For the "new comers" to the country, being able to have this equipment in the classroom will help them connect with other students from diverse cultures and they work hard to connect in the new school, country and learn the new language and customs.
