My Project
My students have been through A LOT the last few years! This group of kids were in first grade when they had to pivot to distance learning, in second grade when we had a hybrid learning year, and in third grade when we attended school wearing a mask all day. This is their first "normal" year since kindergarten. Unfortunately, this has taken a toll on their learning and, even more unfortunate, our state testing requirements have stayed the same and the standardized expectations haven't changed either. As you can imagine, state testing is especially stressful for this group of kids.
I want to set them up with lots of positive motivation, excitement, and encouragement this year.
I want them to know I believe in them and want to help them do their best on this year's state testing. They are bright kids and we're doing our best to prepare everyday, not just for the tests, but for the necessary skills for the years to come. This project will really help to encourage them to focus and incentivize by providing snacks for them to do their best on the test! Thank you for your consideration.
