My Project

My students are making significant gains in reading! My goal is to provide options like flexible seating and interactive tools to make the “boring” instructional moments more engaging for all students. When students are comfortable, focused, and engaged, the daily lessons have a greater resonance and make a more lasting impact on their reading journey.

It is easy to zone out when listening to a lecture in an uncomfortable seat, but with these materials, students will find what works best for them!

The ultimate goal of my educational career is to have students return years later and say, “I still remember that one unit and learning this!” I love to decorate my classroom, provide new experiences, and make reading come alive. We “travel” to Medieval Europe, Arabia, the Ring of Fire, and Treasure Island, to name a few. The flexible seating options and interactive tools provide more options for students who may not have yet found their learning groove. I hope to change that positively to enjoying the reading adventures we embark on during 4th grade!
