My Students
My students are first graders in Carlsbad, California. We are a multicultural classroom with so much to share and learn from each other.
In my first grade classroom we continually explore, inquire, communicate, collaborate, experiment, practice, create and grow...online!
I am so proud to be a part of their foundation and help inspire these great little minds! They are all so very excited to learn each day and give their best in our classroom community, as well as in the strong school wide community we have built.
My Project
Help me to bring top quality teaching and learning to my students' homes. I need an updated computer to be able to teach all of the subjects that I cover in first grade.
I teach from home and the students will benefit from an updated computer that has the capacity to show videos for teaching science, math, STEM, social studies, reading, writing... everything!
My students will benefit from me using the computer for our live classes and doing interactive videos with the students online. We take virtual field trips to learn about animals and many other science related field trips. I also show google slide shows for project based learning that the students will do at home. Using a good, updated computer to relay the learning through several technological apps and digital resources helps bring the learning to a new level for my students. A good working computer is necessary for teaching academic content on line.
I love to teach using fun, exciting techniques such as learning videos and online sources like TPT. Currently, I am using an outdated Chromebook that often gives out on me during videos and Google Slides with too many graphics.
