My Project

Your generous donation to the Good Smiles Cafe will help us supplement our student-led school tea shop. I am a special-ed teacher who works with students with disabilities in a work-based/life skills program. Our students benefit from hands-on experiences in which they are invested. We started a coffee shop this school year as an in-school enterprise. Our student-led business started as a small operation with just basic coffee and tea but we quickly found out that there is a demand for more complicated orders. The donations of a variety of teas, sweeteners, pastries, cups and the like will help my students meet the needs of these more complicated orders while the K-cup storage organizer will help them have a way to store them. Our students are showing an interest in learning all the aspects of running a tea shop business from fulfilling orders to ordering new supplies and the necessary customer service skills to be successful in the workforce.
