This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Starting off the year teaching fourth grade is always exciting. I always find that students are very curious about the world around them. As they learn new concepts, they are filled with questions. They are inquisitive learners. I always had a group of students who are hard workers and try their best to do well in school. I teach my students how to be team players and help each other out. I also noticed that students show kindness and respect towards each other.
Many of my students come from low socio-economic backgrounds.
They are eligible for a free lunch and breakfast at school. However, these challenges that students face don't stop them from their love of learning.
My Project
The flexible seatings will be for my library that will help my students enjoy reading. Having these flexible seatings will motivate students to read their favorite book in a comfortable learning environment. This way, they can find a comfortable place to read their favorite book. Usually, when my students finish their assignment, they go to the library to read a book. Many of my students like to sit on the carpet by the library to read, but it does feel uncomfortable. However, they enjoy being there. Providing these flexible seatings, my students will be a lot more comfortable reading a book.
