This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My Pre-K students love coming to school to learn and interact with their friends. Although the majority of them come from low-income families, they come to school every day with a smile on their face.
Each child comes to school eager and ready to be challenged and learn!
We are on the move in our classroom. We are constantly mixing things up throughout the day. Large group, small group, partner work, and individual work opportunities are utilized daily. Finding the best way for everyone to learn is my goal.
My Project
With the current global pandemic we are in a situation where we are forced to learn from home. I want to be able to give my students the best quality education even from a distance. These items will allow me to produce good quality virtual instruction for my students.
Students need to be able to clearly see, even if it's through a screen so that they can further their education.
As a pre-k teacher majority of our day is spent standing up, singing songs, incorporating movement. The standing desk will allow me to place my computer at a higher level so that I can continue that normalcy of being up and moving even while being home. The laptop stand will allow me to have the computer at eye level assuring I am always and students are alway able to see me. Having the ring light will allow the students to have a clear picture of me as we're learning new things. Wether I am indoors or outdoors the ring light will make sure there is good lighting for the video lessons with my students. Lastly there will be times where students are learning asynchronous, meaning watch prerecorded videos from their teacher. The tripod will allow me to create better videos and hold the phone as I record my lesson.
