My Students

Hello, My name is Ms. Knight. I've been teaching at Explore since it's beginning in 2015. 2020 has been challenging. Our most vulnerable students have had little to no access to materials that would help prepare them for upcoming grades. Even though we offer virtual lessons and in-person school, many of our Kindergarten parents are essential workers with complex schedules leaving little time to spend helping with homework assignments, etc.

I'm seeking funding for Kindergarten/1st grade-level activity workbooks, colored pencils, play-doh.

This would help students be able to do school work independently.

My Project

Help me give my students academic workbooks to give their small eyes a break from the computer screen, but an opportunity to practice much-needed skills at home. A significant amount of my students parents are essential workers with unpredictable shifts. Workbooks will enable students to do work independently, still have fun while growing their brains.

While most of the world is moving more toward doing things electronically, there is still love and enjoyment in writing, drawing and reading that workbooks offer!
