Good Nights for Good Days

Help me give my students clean, new pajamas so they can get a good night's sleep to be ready for school!

My Students

This year, my students are from a mix of grades! During Physical Education, it is their time to shine in a different way in school, through physical activity. It's a way for students to see their skills outside of the classroom.

Many of my students are from low-income households and live in small, cramped, and crowded spaces; and that's if they're not living in a temporary housing unit or shelter.

There is not much green space or large safe spaces for them to run around and play in. Physical Education class gives them the chance to grow in a way they often could not outside of school. In order to get my students up and moving, I need materials that cater to their size, growth, and development. This includes athletic equipment and basic life needs like snacks, sneakers, and clothing items.

My Project

My school has over 700 children; all from disadvantaged backgrounds. So many of my students are sleeping in the clothes they wore to school because they didn't have pajamas. Last year I was able to get some of my students pajamas, but it broke my heart that I couldn't get them to more of my students. With your help, those students are going to have warm nights!

The glow on their faces seeing something brand new, just for them is something that I will never forget.

Good days at school, start with warm and safe nights of sleep. Teaching means reaching out for your students beyond the classroom.
