My Students

My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the methods and environments in which they learn best vary​ greatly.

We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners who are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

My students are very inquisitive about how things work. They are also fascinated with colors and how they blend together.

My students are all fabulous artists and love to create things.

They spend a lot of time coloring and designing projects in class. Having the opportunity to dye their own shirts would help them understand how primary colors turn into secondary colors. In addition to art activities, this project will support a science lesson about chemical and physical changes. This will help the students really understand the difference as they complete hands-on activities, such as tie dying pillow cases. I will also use my Cricut to cut vinyl and heat press their names onto the fabric. They will love it!
