Good Morning, Stem Bins

Help me give my students supplies for STEM bins to use during morning work time.

My Project

My students have 20 minutes every morning before we begin learning where they can engage in different activities. Most teachers use this time for a “morning work” worksheet. I would love for my students to use this time to engage in STEM building activities. Some of the resources I would include in my classroom STEM Bins are interlocking blocks, building blocks, LEGO, pattern shape building challenges, stacking blocks, magnetic manipulatives, and other building and creation materials. This allows students to have time to be creative and think of new ways to use different tools. When using STEM tools, they get to act as engineers and architects. It also allows them to start their day in an engaging and fun way. It is known that students learn through play, and useful play in the classroom is an absolute must! These tools can also be used as math and science manipulatives during our regular day and lessons. I would love to be able to give my students the opportunity to learn through play and grow their STEM brains every day. These bins would allow my students the opportunity to grow in creativity, active engagement, organization, science, technology, engineering, and math skills. I should see growth academically, specifically in science and math as these bins help grow their math and science brains daily.
