This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a school-based social worker providing individual, group, and classroom social-emotional learning and well-being support at a wonderful elementary school in Sunland, CA. I support students from ages 4 - 10, from diverse backgrounds.

The games, books, and calming tools I selected will enhance the SEL options for our students and the posters, pillows, and bean bag chairs will make the space we are using more welcoming, comforting, and calming.

We were just allocated an additional space for our MSW interns will work out of when supporting our students and all the items in this project will be used there.
