it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students need a boost! They know they have what it takes to succeed. They just need to know the secrets to get there!
Like Eighth Grade students anywhere, my students are worried about friends, family and school.
We live in the Central Valley in a small town of moderate means. These kids have tremendous potential to succeed. They are bright but face so many challenges to their success. I work to motivate these students and open their minds to possibilities they may not have thought they could accomplish.
My Project
I am requesting a class set of the book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. I will use this book with my 8th Grade Advisory students to teach them how to overcome adversity and make good choices for their lives. This book will provide the structure for our course.
Every student I reach makes a difference in this world.
