My students are the greatest ever! Anyone who says that the middle school years are the worst, have never been in our neck of the woods. These kids are energetic, creative, and are true explorers of the world around them.
I have a group of hardworking kids who deserve every chance at making the grade.
Most of the children I teach are eager to do their best, despite challenges they have in their everyday lives. Most of my students are tweens with at least one absent parent, or being raised by extended family members.
No matter the situations or hardships they face, they understand that if they just showed up and did their best, somehow, someway, they will be rewarded.
My Project
I am requesting a washing machine for my students. In this way they are not prevented from coming to school and putting forth their best effort because of soiled uniforms and any embarrassment that may entail. Many students will stay home due to unclean, or unkempt uniforms. We want to make sure that if uniforms are soiled or wrinkled, our students have the chance to have them cleaned so that they can attend school without worry or embarrassment.
Because attendance is linked to academic achievement, we want to ensure every child comes to school without any hindrances and by donating to this project, you are helping us do just that.
The students I teach come from wonderful hardworking homes. Their parents do their best and want the best education for their children. No matter how much they do, my colleagues and I believe we can help them achieve even more.
