Every day is different in my art classroom as I teach kids from Kindergarten to Sixth grade. I love the sense of possibility that each child naturally has, and my goal is to harness that sense into creative solutions when presented with artistic problems. Teaching children to trust their intuition, take joy in their own expression and perspective, and to never give up when frustrated by difficulty, is my number one objective.
One of the greatest gifts that my students give me is new ideas and perspectives.
I want to nurture that gift by offering them as many different materials and situations for thinking in a new way as possible!
My Project
One of the greatest limitations at our school is physical space. We have no art classroom, so I'm often traveling to students' classrooms and doing projects in another teacher's space.
This limits my inclination to use messy supplies that take a lot of set up and clean up.
Prismacolor Premier Double-Ended Brush Tip Markers and Sets will allow for students to use a high-caliber art material that is easy to clean up and set up, but which allows for fantastic possibilities in the finished product.
Using these materials, I will be able to assign projects that cover both drawing skills as well as "painting" techniques with the brusth tip of the markers.
