This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It comes with a heavy heart that we ask for help to honor a student. We recently lost a beloved 3rd grader to senseless violence in a mass shooting. This loss has hit our school community hard especially her classmates. We are trying to honor her with a butterfly bench for our playground. The books are to help her classmates mourn and grieve the loss of their friend. Our primary building will plant flowers in her honor as well. Her brothers and cousins are students at our school and we want a sweet way to remember her by.
Ariana will forever be missed but never forgotten!
