My Students
My students are a diverse group of kids. Some are coming to school to the first time, have special needs or are even English Language Learners who may be new to the country. They all come from very different home environments. Some of my students are lucky enough to live with their parents and siblings, while others may live with their grandparents or other guardians.
They inspire me to be the best teacher I can be and, because of them, I strive to give them the most memorable school experience possible.
My Project
In our school this year we are working on going paperless! Every year we give our students benchmark assessments to see where they start the year academically and track how they progress through the year. These assessments were all on paper and lots of it. It required lots of time making copies and filing them all!
This year we are shifting to digital assessments, many of which require an iPad to be used properly and most efficiently.
I would like to get another iPad Pro for our class para to use as she is always a great help when assessing students. Having two iPads in our classroom will allow more students to be assessed at once and will save us a great deal of time! We will use the Apple pencil to navigate the assessment apps and for notetaking on students or when in meetings. We can use the magic keyboard to type in shared documents, and even complete day to day tasks like making slides for our class lessons.
