My Students
Students from NHS that are participating this year in Botball. They range from Freshmen to Seniors, with 4 boys and 4 girls. These students were enrolled in robotics in the Spring semester for an hour a day and have practiced after school many nights since January. After school lets out for summer, they will continue to put in 20+ hours a week on the project. They have come so far since coming together in January. These are the students that have committed a massive amount of time and focus, both in the classroom and after school. They finished 11th overall in their first Botball contest, including winning a Judges's choice award for "Outstanding Engineering". Some of them are builders, some coders, but all of them are committed to doing their best and attending the Global Conference on Educational Robotics.
My Project
Our high school robotics team has been working really hard since our season began in January. Our next step is to take on the best that the world has to offer at the 2018 Global Conference on Educational Robotics. While at the conference, the students will attend great classes, meet people from around the world, and compete for 6 days in the International Botball Competition.
Our students don't just want to be another face in the crowd, they want to be the faces on stage.
They have put in countless hours already this season and have committed so much more, even as the school year comes to an end and summer begins. Working on robots will be their summer job. There is not a greater educational experience. They would love your support and help to make this a reality.
