Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students in my Title I class are very loving and quite funny. They enjoy being with each other and being in school. They are polite and eager to please by flashing their winning smiles, their loving hearts, and their brilliant brains. They are a wonderful group of students worth everything the world has to offer.
They are returning from distance learning and a turbulent year in school.
They are excited to learn and return to school, raring to learn. The students have been doing their very best with their limited resources. We have been using a lot of technology in the classroom and we are finding that the students are struggling to access it with their phones. They are not able to complete all aspects of their Nearpod lessons which hinders their ability to complete and understand their work.
My Project
The students in my class are extraordinary. They are headed to many wonderful places. Their knowledge, curiosity, and vigor to learn more they are destined for greatness. They feel limited, and unfortunately, they are not far off. They are lacking some tools they need to continue to exceed their expectations, computers. These Chromebooks will be used to conduct research as well as participate in technology based lessons. Students will use these Chromebooks to expand their knowledge and deepen their understanding of lessons taught. They have expressed interest in expanding their knowledge beyond the textbook. The Chromebooks will assist the students in their exploration. In this fast paced world that is going more and more toward technology they are missing out on the opportunity to go with society. They are not able to afford computers so I try to provide them with ample technology time so they can learn how to effectively use technology. We are on a mission towards greatness and we need these computers to get there.
