Goggles for Superb Scientists!

My Project

Picture a scientist in your head. You probably pictured them wearing goggles! This is because goggles are a crucial part of safely conducting science experiments. One of the best parts of being a science teacher is seeing my students' minds and faces light up when they are doing hands-on experiments. Research shows that students learn science best when they are able to actively participate in the scientific process. My students have many of the characteristics of great scientists -- curiosity, passion, persistence, bravery, and beyond. However, being a great scientist also requires a number safety measures.

Right now, my students are limited in the experiments they can do because we do not have proper eye protection.

Having goggles would mean that my students can safely test chemical reactions to discover properties of matter, explore collisions to build a better phone case, engineer a device that heats food and more.
