This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work at a Title I elementary school in Arizona. My school district has recently started a soccer program for 4th/5th grade boys and girls to play outside of school.
This program is designed for students that do not already belong or have access to another sports team.
They can join our school team to develop and practice their soccer abilities. We practice after school and compete against other elementary school teams in our district. It is a great opportunity to grow as players and compete against future teammates.
My Project
My players need soccer goals to practice shooting and goalkeeping. We currently do not have any goals at my school and just use basic cones. This leads to a lot of ball chasing when goals are scored instead of maximizing their time working on skills.
Your generous donation will help my students prepare for their games.
It will allow them to visualize a realistic target and practice their aim. It will also provide goalkeepers with an opportunity to test their skills of protecting a goal with proper height and width dimensions.
This addition will make a huge difference to practice our skills and give my students the mindset of playing in a real soccer game.
