My students need to create something new! With craft sticks, they can cook or create gifts. Moon sand, marble run, and sand paper help them see how things work and spark creativity!
Imagine all the ways to create new things! Items in this project will improve our student's ability to imagine and create structures and crafts.
Our students include both students with disabilities and typically developing students.
Our school is located in the most diverse area in our public school system and our class is a reflection of this population. Our students continue to need support with building their fine motor and cognitive learning skills.
My Project
Both the moon sand and marble maze will provide opportunities to build structures and increase their fine motor skills. The moon sand in our sensory table will also encourage students to create anything imaginable! Sand paper is a great way to also give sensory feedback for our students, as well as making different patterns on different types of paper. What can you not make with craft sticks? From gifts, to measuring, to mixing and squishing, to cutting and coloring to any and everything, craft sticks are versatile enough to use in just about anything!
Our students enjoy building structures and creating new crafts.
They also enjoy playing in the sensory table. The items in this project will help them go wherever their imagination takes them!
