This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember the first time you performed on stage? For these fourth and fifth graders, this is an exciting time for them!
My students are from a low-income area in Queens, New York.
These fourth and fifth graders can choose theater club to showcase their hidden talents. They are singers, dancers and actors. They have few other opportunities to express themselves in an artistic way!
My Project
The students will use these materials to perform a show for the entire school at the end of the year. In prior years, we've used two hand microphones and had to pass them back and forth from actor to actor. It is very hard for the children's voices to be heard and furthermore, there is often sound interference that distracts the audience and the actors alike.
These wireless headsets will take our play from Jackson Heights to Broadway!
No more passing of hand microphones and loud noises which interrupt our show. Let's get this show on the road with wireless head microphones!
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
