My Students

My students are learning Korean as a second language and most of my students are non-heritage students. Since the remote learning stated, it has been really challenging to teach them the writing of Korean words. They need to see me write each syllable, a stroke at a time so they can master the writing skills but with the remote learning, I have been typing through Google Meet and it is limiting my students to learn writing skills. Thus, I am planning to send a care package with laminated grammar rules, Native and Sino Korean numbers, key terms from each chapter, and a note from me. I hope they feel connected with teachers and thoughtful people like you.

My Project

My students have been using the Smart notebook program in the classroom using the Smartboard. However, I could not use the Smartnotebook program in distance learning since I only have one device that is my laptop. Now the learning format is uncertain for September 2020, I need to get equipped for new teaching methods for my students. If I get the iPad, I can expand the online platform for my students in my lesson with interactive activities to maximize student engagement. Whether the students are learning in class or in their home setting, I can formulate effective lesson plans with the iPad. There are so many educational Softwares that I can incorporate into my lesson. My students can participate in games and interactive activities for each topic that I teach. Students learn better if they are engaged. Please help my students.
