Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
It is important for children to learn how to save the earth in as many ways as possible. By designing a canvas bag that can be used over and over again, will help students contribute to helping save the Earth.
I work at a school in the heart of the city in California.
My students are energetic, enthusiastic and hard working. They are learning all about recycling and ways to save the Earth. We are starting a recycling project to make students aware of how they can pitch in to help the Earth.
My Project
My students need 28 re-usable canvas tote bags, one Kindle Fire. The re-usable canvas bags are for my student to design and paint on. They will be writing recycling slogans, and their parents can use them when they shop. It will help promote recycling for everyone to see. I am also asking for a kindle fire to have the students research what happens to recycled goods. They can also write about their findings on recycling after their research.
Recycling is everyone's responsibility.
My students need to learn this valuable lesson. The products we are requesting will help students contribute to recycling. With the help of Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation and other donors I hope to bring this project to life.
