We build a community where everyone is both learner and teacher. Together we learn to take risks, reflect on mistakes, encourage each other, build relationships and have fun!! We start our day with a morning meeting where we stop and greet each other with a big smile on our faces.
Students' interests and passion are the driving force of learning.
Each student enters the classroom door with special talents and curiosity. When they are given opportunities to explore their passion, learning becomes authentic and leads to deeper understanding. The excitement is contagious. My students inspire me and others everyday!
My Project
I would like to create a green screen studio where students can make their imagination come alive. The cube basket bins and green file folders become green screen stages. Green gloves, paper puppets and straws make student stories come alive. After recoding, they can choose a background using an iPad app. For example, the students can record a clip of them flying in a sky, riding on a bird in the green screen studio. They can narrate the video with a story that they wrote. Or, they can create a stop motion movie of a plant growing and changing depending on what season it is on the background. There are no limits in what students can imagine, create and learn in the green screen studio!
