This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is in an urban area. Our students are economically and ethnically diverse. Our population consists of mostly Hispanic and Chinese backgrounds. We have a population of students from shelters as well as the surrounding projects.
The school includes students with special needs as well as ESL students in need of extra support.
As a community, we strive to keep a safe and secure environment for all our students from Pre-k through 5th grade. We know that we need to keep our kids safe at all time
My Project
We will be using these materials in case of an emergency. It is important to keep all our students safe as we live in a very busy very active city where there are new things happening daily. it is important that we have go bags with us filled with water, food, paper, pencils, flashlights, first aid kits, tape, etc to make sure our kids are safe if we leave the building. Having these materials prepared and ready to go is part of the job of our safety committee and we are asking for help to accomplish this goal. thank you
