My Students
Hello! My students live in Los Angeles, CA, one of the most diverse cities in the country! They learn and flourish at our high school, whose educational vision is to develop exemplary students that "pursue academic excellence, are involved citizens, and possess 21st-century skills." In my classes, they are community-driven scientists ready to transform their communities and world. They face many barriers and are coping with the realities of living in an urban community, such as immigration, pollution, violence, poverty, and gentrification. Yet, they are resilient and proud of their roots and upbringing as they rise as confident and motivated scientists and scholars.
My Project
Hello! Thank you for reviewing my request. Having cleaning supplies will allow me to keep my science classroom and lab clean and sanitized for students and families to feel safe in my classroom. These supplies will keep the class clean and help with sanitizing any science tools that the students share or use in the classroom. Knowing that the science tools are safe to use will help the students focus on their work, help them engage with the material and not stress or wonder if the science lab tools are safe to use.
