My Project
I want students to be able to make their own toys. They may not be able to afford the latest electronics or sneakers, but I want to teach them that it does not take much to have fun and create something special. These students take on responsibilities and stresses well beyond their years. They have lived through a pandemic and so much more. I do not want them to miss out on having a childhood.
Theres is nothing greater than teaching them a healthy form of escapism to create characters.
I have seen young students give these characters, names, hobbies, and well developed identities. They even make puppet shows. If you would like to be a part of the reason why children created stories, please consider donating even a tiny bit!
