My students come to us from our three elementary feeder schools. Our area covers over 134 square miles in the City of Lowell and surrounding rural areas. We are located 18 miles east of Grand Rapids and offer educational opportunities where every student is guided and encouraged to reach his or her full potential.
My students mean as much to me as my own children.
I often tell them that they are the reason I come back year after year and it really is true.
My students come from a wide range of socioeconomic levels where some have everything they need from day one of school and others just need a little help.

My Project
I am working on expanding our Maker Space. The Glowforge is a long term investment for our program that will be used by 350 students each year for many years to come.
Our students will be able to make an endless variety of useful, beautiful, and practical things from a bunch of different materials like wood, leather, felt, fabric, acrylic, paper, and more!
It is my hope that as I build up our STEM and Design program at LMS that I can incorporate lessons on entrepreneurship and teach my students to manage small businesses stemming from items created on the Glowforge.
