My Project
I have 22 precious first graders in my classroom this year. We have already formed a strong bond and are working hard to reach our goals and dreams. This group of students love each other and their teacher more than you can even imagine!
I have several students in my class who are in a school building for the first time in their lives as seven year old's.
My students entered the school year with the biggest range of levels I have ever seen this year. I have readers and writers and I have students who are just now learning how to write their own name. We knew that COVID-19 would have an impact on our students, we just never knew how deep it would be.
I feel it is more important now than ever to make sure our students know they are loved and that they have a love of school and learning. With the supplies I am asking for we will make sure that happens.
Flexible seating makes students more comfortable and makes for a more relaxed learning environment. The hands on learning materials, such as Elkonin boxes and pop its will ensure that success is experienced by all students while still allowing me to challenge the higher students.
