My Students

My students are from the inner city. They are predominately African American and are surrounded by challenges every day. Many of my students are living in severe poverty. Their spirits long to be free and rejoice. Providing the students at the school, gives access for the students to be a part of a positive, learning, and community-based organization.

Despite the odds, my students find hope through doing their best in all subjects.

I admire their creativity to invent new things. Given an opportunity, the students can help with academics and become productive members of society in the future.

My Project

This is the winter season. The students are constantly coming to school without a hat, scarf and/or gloves. Students often lose these items for a variety of reasons. Whatever the case maybe, they are needed.

I believe students who have hats, scarves and gloves will be healthy and ready to learn.

These items help students to feel warmth during these bitter cold school days. This will motivate students to want to come to school because they are warm when they are outside. Students who are sick often don't have these essential items to help them battle the wild elements of the season.
