My Students
Every child should have the the opportunity to learn music in a gentle and friendly atmosphere. That is what the Orff Approach is all about - a child-centered way of learning.
I have the privilege of teaching music at a K-8 high poverty, Title I Charter School in Pennsylvania.
I work very hard to provide my students with a wide variety of musical experiences. The one thing that my budget has not been able to support is the purchase and use of Orff Instruments.
My Project
By providing my students some Orff instruments, they will be able to explore aural skills, body motions, and creative expression in a comfortable and supportive environment. My students will achieve success quickly, because melodies performed on Orff instruments are often simple and easy to play.
By donating to my project, you will be supporting the child-centered way of learning music that is integral to the Orff approach and my students will get to experience the joys of making music by participating in creative, fun and non-competitive group activities.
