My Project

What better way for students to learn about history, culture, literature, and events around the world than with the aid of globes! This year, students will be learning about various concepts: the American west, civil rights heroes, migration, cultural months, and allowing students to dissect their own identities in relation to the content they are learning about. This will also be helpful in diving deeper with our geography standard of using geographic tools to describe places and spaces. Being a STEAM school, a lot of our learning is interactive and hands-on. In addition, over 85% of our students are language learners, who represent a wide variety of cultures all over the world. Many students can not physically identify where they come from, or make connections to the countries they are learning about. These globes will give students the opportunity to dive deeper.
