it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our school, we value the well-being and growth of our students. That's why we have created resources like glitter bottles to support their learning and foster self-regulation. Glitter bottles serve as a healthy coping strategy, providing a safe and positive sensory experience. By using materials such as kinetic sand, glitter, glue, and playdough, students can engage in therapeutic learning.
Our requested resources go beyond just providing sensory materials.
They are designed to enhance AVID strategies, particularly collaboration. Students will gather in our School Counseling calm center and work together, discussing and sharing the stories behind their glitter bottles. This encourages collaboration and creates a supportive learning environment.
Through these activities, students not only develop mindfulness, & resiliency skills but also improve their ability to communicate, collaborate, and reflect on their experiences. The use of glitter bottles and other sensory materials creates a unique learning opportunity that engages both the mind and body.
We believe that by incorporating these resources into our school, we can help our students develop essential life skills while creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. So, help us celebrate the diverse ways our students learn and support their growth with these engaging resources.
